Samantha “Sam” Mallare is a coach with Williamsville Stampede Field Hockey and serves as the U16 Black Coach. Sam is also a Case Manager at Richmond Vona Personal Injury, balancing her professional career with her continued involvement in the sport.

Sam graduated from Williamsville North High School in 2019, where she began as a field player before ultimately transitioning into a goalkeeper. She was a three-year starter and was named team captain her senior year. Sam earned All-WNY recognition, was selected as a MAX Field Hockey Top-50 All–Northeast Region goalie, and helped lead Williamsville North to a State Finals appearance in 2019. Sam also played for Williamsville Stampede and was part of the club’s first founding team, helping build the program from the beginning.

Sam continued her playing career at Pace University, competing as a goalkeeper in 2019 before her collegiate career was cut short due to an injury during her freshman year. While at Pace, she earned NFHCA Scholar of Distinction honors and was named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll following both semesters.

Sam began coaching with Williamsville Stampede during college, continuing to support the program before stepping into a full-time coaching role post-grad. She also coaches locally as a Volunteer Assistant Coach with the Williamsville North Varsity Field Hockey program. As a Stampede coach, Sam is passionate about helping athletes grow their confidence, sharpen their skills, and compete with purpose.
