Cassie Diodate is a coach with Williamsville Stampede, a Stampede alumna, and a college student at Niagara University. She began her Stampede career as a high school freshman, playing on the U16 team, and later continued with U19 Lime.

Cassie played Division III field hockey at Medaille University in Fall 2022, where she made an immediate impact—earning the role of team captain as a freshman and starting and playing every game for the Mavericks. A primary defender, she also saw time at midfield and had stints on attack during the season. She ranked 6th in the Empire 8 for defensive saves and maintained a strong leadership presence throughout her time at Medaille. Following Medaille University’s closure, Cassie transferred to Niagara University, where she now plays on the club field hockey team.

Cassie’s interest in coaching began when a knee injury sidelined her during her junior year lacrosse season in high school. Even while injured, she remained an active team member—attending games and helping keep the book. The following fall, she played her senior season of field hockey on a torn ACL, serving as a captain and choosing not to miss her final season with Williamsville North. After undergoing surgery in the winter, she became the lacrosse team manager in the spring. From there, she continued building coaching experience by helping with Williamsville Stampede and Williamsville North field hockey clinics.

Currently, Cassie is a volunteer assistant coach for Williamsville North Girls’ Junior Varsity Lacrosse and is in the process of receiving her New York State coaching certification.
